About Loveselenite

Loveselenite is a small independent shop and I run it myself.

I first became interested in stones through my grandfather. He had a collection of fossils and gemstones. I used to spend ages looking through them.

That interest stayed with me. Years later it became the starting point for Loveselenite.

Why Selenite?

I did not plan to sell every type of crystal. Selenite was the one I wanted to focus on.

The natural lines become clearer and some pieces look almost silky.

There is also a surprising amount of choice. Selenite can be made into lamps, towers, bowls, plates, wands and smaller stones.

That is what I enjoy about it. Nothing looks too perfect or exactly the same.

How the Pieces Are Chosen

I look for pieces that show the natural character of selenite while still being suitable for display and everyday handling.

The shape, finish and overall condition are all considered. I also look at the edges, base and natural markings. Some pieces are bright white, while others may contain cream, cloudy or orange areas.

Selenite is a soft mineral, so the occasional line, tiny mark or slightly uneven section can be normal. I do not expect every piece to look identical or completely flawless. That would take away much of what makes natural stone interesting.

Natural Variation

The photographs on the website give a good idea of what each product looks like, but natural variation should always be expected.

Colour, weight, lines and small surface details can differ from one piece to another. Handmade items may also have slight changes in shape or finish.

This does not mean one piece is better than another. It simply means the item received will have its own appearance rather than looking exactly like every other one.

Packing Your Order

Packing selenite takes a bit of extra care because the stone can chip or scratch.

I wrap each piece and make sure it cannot move around too much inside the parcel. Larger items and anything with thinner edges get more protection.

Getting in Touch

When you contact Loveselenite, the message comes to me.

I am also here if there is a problem with an order or something does not seem right when it arrives. Thank you for visiting Loveselenite. Every order supports a small business that has grown from a family interest in fossils, gemstones and the natural differences found in every piece.

Choosing What Goes into the Shop

I look at the overall finish, shape and condition when choosing pieces for the website.

Selenite is quite soft, so small lines and natural marks are common. I also try to offer a good mix of sizes and shapes. Some people want a small piece for a shelf. Others are looking for a larger lamp or tower that stands out more.

Where the Pieces Come From

The selenite sold through Loveselenite comes from Morocco. Those differences are normal. Selenite is a natural material and handmade pieces are never going to look as though they came from a mould.
