The piece sits best with the lamp on a small cabinet where the switch remains reachable, as long as the lead does not cross a walkway. With the small lamp in a settled position, the wooden base keeps the crystal upright while the internal light shows the natural layers. To look after the small selenite lamp, disconnect it first and hold the base so the lead is not trapped or sharply bent.
