A selenite palm stone is one of those things that doesn’t look like much at first. It’s just a pale piece of crystal and it is shaped so it fits in your hand. That’s it. But once you actually pick one up, you notice it straight away. It feels smooth. Not glassy, more soft in a way. Light as well. You don’t really have to hold onto it. It just sits there.

As each one is handmade one of them comes out the same. Some are a bit thicker. Some are flatter. You’ll sometimes see faint lines or small marks running through them. That’s just how the crystal forms. It’s not something that’s been cleaned up to look perfect.

Using a Selenite Palm Stone

If you’re into meditation, this is probably one of the easiest crystals to use. You just sit down somewhere quiet and hold it. That’s all most people do.

Some people focus on their breathing while they hold it. Others don’t really think about anything. They just sit there for a few minutes. That depends on what you prefer. Not everyone does that. Some people just use it during quiet moments after a long day.

You might hold it in one hand. Some people use another stone in the other hand. Some don’t bother at all. It’s one of those things where there isn’t really a “right way” to do it.

Looking After Your Selenite Palm Stone

Most people don’t make this complicated either. If they feel like giving the stone a bit of attention, they’ll leave it near a window for a while.

You don’t need to do it often. It’s more something you do when you remember. Some people prefer leaving it out at night instead. Others don’t think about it that much.

One thing you do want to watch is strong sunlight. Leaving it there all day isn’t great. It can start to change colour slightly. So it’s better to move it after a bit rather than forget about it.

Longevity Maintenance

A bit of light is fine and just not all day. It’s better to keep it somewhere out of direct sunlight.

Handle with Care

It’s not a hard crystal. If you knock it or drop it, it can chip. Best to keep it somewhere safe.

Protection from Water

Water is the main thing to avoid. It doesn’t react well to it over time, so keeping it dry is important.

Everyday Use

Some people place it on a table or keep it nearby during quiet moments. Others simply hold it from time to time.

Ancient Tradition

You’ll hear stories about people placing these in rooms or near doors.

Avoid Overuse

Some people like to leave it aside now and then. They’ll come back to it later rather than using it constantly.

After a while, you kind of forget it’s even there. It just becomes part of your space or something you pick up now and then without really thinking. Some days you’ll use it more, other days not at all. It’s not something that needs a routine. It just fits around whatever you’re doing.

It helps if you leave it somewhere you can actually see it. Nothing fancy. Just somewhere easy. Then every so often, you’ll notice it and pick it up.

You might find you reach for it more at certain times. When things are quiet. Maybe in the evening, or after a long day, when you just want to sit for a bit. You don’t really have to "use" it properly. Sometimes just holding it for a minute is enough.

The way you hold it changes as well. Sometimes you grip it.
